Being a part of Music City USA, thousands of music videos are shot in our city annually. If you're looking for a full country feel, however, finding that in most areas can be really tough without having to drive over 45 minutes to the rural areas of Middle Tennessee or even out state to get that wide, open space feel. Here is an evolving list and archive of the music videos that have been filmed here on Neelys Bend.

The Wild Feathers has ties to Neelys Bend and used the areas between the 1900 and 2200 blocks of Neelys Bend for their April 2018 video release for Big Sky. The song perfectly sums up why people love living here and visiting here. Neighbors constantly repeat stories of guests saying the same thing. "I had no clue this was in Nashville. This is the most gorgeous place ever." Wild Feathers, we agree, with your lyrics, "There's still a paradise."

Free as a highway / Wild as the wind / I can hear her call my name
      Callin' me home again

Wide open spaces / Cool mountain breezes / Reachin' down to save my soul
      Take these city blues away

The closest thing to Heaven that you'll find / Headin' for the big sky

Won't you come with me? / We'll find a reason
Reason to believe again / There's still a paradise

The closest thing to Heaven that you'll find
      Headin' for the big sky

It seems like all we do is talk / 'Bout the lives people walked away from
Let's pack the car and leave tonight / Drive until the city lights fade, fade, fade
      Let 'em fade away

Wide open spaces / Cool mountain breezes / Reachin' down to save my soul
      Take these city blues away

The closest thing to Heaven that you'll find / Headin' for the big sky
The closest thing to Heaven that you'll find /

      Big Sky

In the viral takeover of a cappella music by groups like Pentatonix, many groups started getting more leverage online. One of those groups was Anthem Lights whose Wedding Medley video has amassed more than 15 million views as of 2023. Their video for Redeemer was shot in the 2100 block on Neelys Bend on a private farm.

In 2023, Tennessee University's Aristocrat of Bands took home a Grammy for Best Roots Gospel Album for The Urban Hymnal. With a special appearance with Dubba-A, FLY (Y.M.M.F.) was one of the cuts and they filmed the music video on Neelys Bend with the entire band and Dubba-A. TSU's Grammy made history as the first marching band to win one. They celebrated in many ways including a trip to The White House.

Don't click play if you think this is a gospel song. BAYBE's Father, Son Holy Ghost called for an open space for a night shoot for its eerie video. Her fusion of hip-hop and metal mixed with discussion-sparking messages brought a different flair from type of music usually filmed on the Bend.
